This year’s company trip took place from June 25 to 26.
On the morning of the 25th, we set off from the office. At 10:00 a.m., a travel bus picked us up. After a short break – during which some of us cooled off from the outside temperatures of over 30 degrees with an ice cream – we arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. Since the hotel was located right next to the Teutoburg Forest, a small group hiked to a lake immediately upon arrival to cool off. In the evening, we enjoyed a three-course meal at the hotel. To pass the time until the World Cup game, the rest of our colleagues hiked to the Externsteine after dinner.
The next morning, we set off for our actual destination: our supplier, Phoenix Contact. We received a warm welcome and were first given a guided tour of the All Electric Society Park, where we learned a lot about renewable energy. This was followed by a general tour of the company. Despite the 34 degrees, our enthusiasm and interest never waned. We’d like to thank the guides for the great tour – we learned a great deal. For our small company, it was of course especially exciting to get a behind-the-scenes look at such a large and exemplary company.
Overall, the company trip was a complete success. We got to know each other even better, and the atmosphere was positive throughout.
